CHENGDU: China will continue to team up with students from Pakistan by given scholarships and other prospects for the advancement of education. Dr Yang yingyu, vice-dean of the International College of Education at Sichuan Normal University (SNU) while talking to a delegation of students from the Karachi University.
Dr Yang offered a lecture on the well-known Chinese philosopher Mencius and the English translation of his writings by many writers over the years.
A delegation of thirteen students from the Confucius Institute at Karachi University is currently on a two weeks visit to University of Sichuan Normal in Chengdu, China where they will be learned with Chinese culture and language as well taking part in cultural events with local students.
Naming the inauguration of the Confucius Institute at Karachi University and the authorization of a MoU by former President Asif Ali Zardari, Dr. Yang highlighted that to stimulate education, a lot of struggle is being made up to the peak level of government from both partners.
Dr. Yang told that students from all over the globe including Pakistan had shown excellent passion for learning during their stay at university. They were stimulated to pay their contribution in shaping stronger links between the two countries by becoming envoys for culture and education. To raise the friendship between the two nations, more students from Pakistan will be given additional support and scholarships to come to SNU and study Chinese, Dr. Yang described.
