Does Studying Abroad really improves a student’s performance as it is highlighted or is it just overrated? To find the answer of this very question Japan stepped up and undertook this task. They conducted a large-scale survey in their country which included about 2600 graduate that were now professional. In this survey, about 1300 graduate professional were from domestic universities and other were those who had spent at least 3 months studying their graduation abroad. This massive survey concluded their comparison, who is better at what. Well, as we all are aware, graduates who studied abroad performed and proved themselves better in following ways.
1 - Development of Globalized Skill
Students who study abroad tend to have better social skills and confidence level. According to survey result, they were easy to blend in any type of environment. They are very flexible and not afraid of any new or different. They have mastered global level skills which not only just helps in a local domestic business but are very good when put used in broad level project.
They also have better language deficiency, not just in foreign language but better even in their own language, they are very eloquent, humble and impressive. Whenever you have a discussion with them it feels like you are talking to and educated person.

2 - Expansion of Perspective
When you go through a totally different new experience, you always feel smarter than you were before that experience. Same is the case with going abroad, especially for studies. You go to whole new world, full of new people with different color, race, language and personalities. It’s like you have gained the experience of two lives.
This experience makes you look at world and things with a different view than others. You have different mentality for everything. This way you are not afraid of change or to express yourself and when you express your point of view it contains a perspective that no other graduate has that didn’t study abroad. It is not about the university you studies in, it’s about the experience. According the survey, students who have studied abroad, have a bigger perspective and perception of things around which makes them uniquely innovative that is difficult to find in those who never get to study abroad.

3 - Better Career Selection
Studying abroad not only opens more door of opportunities but it also makes you understand what you want. Unlike graduates who never studied abroad, abroad graduated don’t have to worry much about finding a job. They know better what they want, and instead of finding a company that they have skills according to, they find a company that is according to their taste.
“Employers prefer an applicant with the study abroad experience on their Resume”, says Ghulam Ali, CEO and owner of Soft Solutions, IlmKiduniya.com and StudyAbroad.pk. “It illustrates the expression that they are open to new experiences, flexible for any environment and well conscious of team work with diverse personalities.”
According to the survey, domestic university studied graduates tend to find a big company where they can settle. Whereas, foreign studied graduates don’t really care about how big that company is, they want a place where they can implement their global skills and talents and where they can feel comfortable. 4 - Promoting Study Abroad
We Pakistani students, usually after studying in an institute, only announce their negative points and mostly don’t refer it to anyone. But this was not the case with foreign educated students. After completing their education in a totally strange place, when asked for opinion in an interview, they referred everyone to must get foreign education.

It simply shows how foreign education has developed a maturity in them and obviously, credit goes that abroad institute and their alumni still promotes it. This survey over all concluded that every student should go abroad for studies and that it does develops a student’s personality, skills, perspective and fulfilling career.
