Some Australian Universities Are Offering Tuition Fee Relaxation To International Students, Apply Now

International Students are Getting Tuition Fee Rebates From Some Australian Universities

Some international students who are stuck abroad because of the border closing and travel restrictions are offering tuition fee rebates from some Australian Universities. This relaxation is for the students who are going to continue their studies remotely.

University Of Adelaide Plans

The University of Adelaide is included in the list of these universities and it is offering offshore students a 20% rebate in tuition fees. The university reveals that this rebate will be applicable until the border restrictions. However, students would not be allowed to remain offshore after ending the travel restrictions. Moreover, for future studies, no rebate will be offered to international students.

CISA Remarks About Fee Rebate

The Council of International Student Australia (CISA) appreciates this move and it also asks other institutions to follow the same rules to please the offshore students because international students are not satisfied with the online learning system and, at the same time, they are facing it difficult to pay 40,000 AUD per annum tuition fee. CISA is a national peak students representing organization that is working for the international students who are enrolled for foundation programs, undergraduate programs, postgraduate programs, private colleges, and TAFE, ELICOS, programs.

Through this way of fee discounts, the University of Adelaide is showing its commitment to offer a fair and quality experience of studies to international students. However, it is remarked by Belle Lim, president of CISA, that we are expecting that more universities would take similar steps to facilitate the international students who are getting disturbed under this unpredicted Covid-19 situation.

CISA also added that the institutions in Australia should also abolish the late payment fee to offer relief plans and to reduce the financial stress of international students. The institutions should encourage international students to complete their higher education from Australia and for this purpose, the institutions have to take the potential steps. Lim also said that many international students are still eager to come back to Australia to resume their higher education.
