How to Apply in German Universities 

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to apply for universities in Germany for the 2025 academic year in detail:

Eligibility 

The following is the detailed eligibility criteria for Pakistani students who intend to study in Germany.

• Higher Secondary School Certificate: A Pakistani student must have scored at least 50% marks in his/her Higher Secondary School Certificate, also known as Intermediate or A-levels.
• Bachelor's degree : Minimum of a bachelor's degree from any recognized university in Pakistan, with 50 percent marks or 2.5 marks in the relevant subject would be needed to pursue a master's degree.
• Master's Degree: For PhDs, the candidates have to hold master's degrees from a legitimate university in Pakistan with a cumulative GPA of 3.0, and 60% marks.
   

Language Proficiency

• German Language: For German medium programs, proof of language proficiency must be provided with:
• Test of German as Foreign Language (TestDaF) score of 4 or more
• Goethe Institute German Language Diploma (GDS) at A2 level
   

For those to be taught in the language, proof of Language skills includes:

• IELTS = minimum of 5.5-6 bands;
• TOEFL ibT; 70-80 scores points;
