Benefits Of Brunei Scholarship For the Session 2024-25

The scholarship will facilitate the following benefits of the scholarship to their applicants mentioned as follows. 

• Release from paying tuition fees for the duration of the program, including acceptance, examination, registration, and orientation fees

• A one-way economy class ticket from the scholarship recipient's home country to Brunei Darussalam, and a return ticket from Brunei Darussalam to the home country after the course is finished. 

• A monthly personal allowance of BND$500.00

• A monthly meals allowance of BND$150.00

• Annual book allowance of BND$600.00

• An accommodation at the University or Polytechnic residential college.

• Allowance for baggage for the shipping of the scholarship recipient's personal belongings to his home or place of origin after the program is concluded, approximately around 

  • BND$250.00 to a country within the ASEAN region

  • BND$500.00 to a country outside the ASEAN region

• A comprehensive insurance for the duration of the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria To Apply For Brunei Scholarship

The following are the eligibility criteria you must be fulfilled in order to apply for this government scholarship program. 

• All nationals’ students from the globe are eligible to apply for this scholarship, with a limited number of Bruneians, PRs, and foreign students currently enrolled in or previously enrolled in school in Brunei.

• Brunei Darussalam permanent residents are not eligible to apply for this scholarship. 

• Applicants must not exceed the age of

  • 25, for undergraduate and Diploma programs, till the first day of July (of the year the course/program starts) or

  • 35, for postgraduate master’s degree programs, on the first day of July (of the year the course/program starts).

• Have proficiency in English as demonstrated by a grade "C" in IGCSE English (as a second language), a Credit 6 on the GCE "O" Level Examination, an IELTS score of 6.0, or a minimum TOEFL score of 550.
