The Ministry of Education of Slovak Republic supports the International applicants and give them chance to study in the best Slovak Universities and other research institutes during their stay.
Master’s students are allowed to stay for two semesters during their studies. Those who have completed 2.5 years may also apply.
The doctoral program students, artists, researchers and university teachers will get scholarship for 10 months’ duration during their stay.
Benefits
Scholarship will cover living expenses of the accepted applicants that include accommodation, food, travel allowance, medical coverage and other research costs.
Monthly stipend varies from 400 € to 1 050 €. Additional to it, Master’s and PhD students will receive travel allowance for up to 1 000 € depending on the distance to workplace from resident. For medical bills, scholarship covers up to 250 € cost for each accepted applicant.
Application Procedure
Applications are being accepted through online portal. Master’s and doctoral students should submit the following documents for the successful application.

A detailed Curriculum Vitae;

Motivation letter;

Study Program or Study Plan (it includes a proper study plan, mentioning time of stay, duration of course study and the chosen subjects you wish to study during the program) for Master’s/research plan for PhD only;

Recommendation Letters (two letters are required by the home university professors mentioning why are they referring you for this program and how they are affiliated to you);

Scanned images of degrees and transcripts (bachelor’s for master’s application and master’s degree for doctoral applicant);

Certificate of Enrollment to home university with expected date of graduation;

Invitation by any host Slovakia university/research organization indicating that university accepts the applicant and duration of visit;

List of publication (PhD only)/artistic work in case of artist.
