The Community Engagement Exchange (CEE) Program 2026 is open for applications, and guess what? It's fully funded! This awesome opportunity is happening in the U.S. and is meant for young leaders like you from all over the world, including Pakistan.

What is the CEE Program?

The Community Engagement Exchange (CEE) is a year-long program focused on leadership development, with a three-month practicum in the U.S. Participants work alongside American civil society organizations, improve their leadership skills, and come up with creative projects to take back to their home countries.

Put together by IREX and funded by the U.S. Department of State, this program supports upcoming leaders in addressing important issues like:

• Gender equality
• Climate change
• Youth involvement
• Peacebuilding
• Civic engagement

Program Details

Benefits of Community Engagement Exchange Program

• The program offers support for J-1 participants. 
• Participants will get a monthly stipend to help with living costs, meals, and housing. 
• There’s a grant for round-trip travel from their home country to the USA. 
• Medical insurance for participants will be taken care of.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates need to live and work in their home countries.
• You should be between 21 and 27 years old.
• You need at least two years of work or volunteer experience when you apply.
• If you have refugee status, you'll be representing your home community.
• You must be good at speaking and understanding English.
• You should be able to stay in the U.S. for three months.
• Candidates need to promise to return and help their own communities for at least two years.
