Does Foreign Education Really Matter for Job

Studying abroad is a great experience. Most of the students after their college show interest in going abroad for education. Studying abroad can be really expensive and may cause your whole lifestyle to change entirely. One has to sacrifice many things just to fulfill this one wish. The question today is if studying abroad is beneficial for you or is it just a little wish to experience a new culture.

One things I can tell for sure is that studying abroad is beneficial, but it also depends on what kind of benefit does one expect. If by benefit you mean in terms of education then it is definitely true or do you expect financial benefit. As far as you are concerned about getting quality education, learning new things, understanding world and expanding your perception; studying abroad is the perfect choice. No matter which country you go to and no matter which university you study in, as long as you are out of your country and culture you will learn new things.

Why Study Abroad:

One important question I would like to ask my readers is the reason to study abroad. Do you want to go abroad so you can get better job? Why do you want a better job? Answer to that is most probably to earn more money because world measure your success by what you are earning. What I always say to my students is that education is not for job. If you really want to earn money then study business and do a business. I have seen illiterate people who sell fast food or fruits earn more than qualified PhDs.

According to Albert Einstein “Education is training of your mind to think.” Education opens your mind to the world and its realities and then you introduce what was unknown. But at present, people think that education is for job. If so, I don’t think that whole life of education is worth a few thousands of salary. We just do jobs to make a living. Jobs are not life and we should keep them as just a part of our lives.

By saying all this, I want my readers to understand that you should definitely study abroad and you will definitely get a good job after but good job should not be the purpose of your studying abroad. By studying abroad, you will have the opportunity to break the boundaries limiting your mind and thoughts. You will learn and understand what you didn’t before. The education acquired for job will only make good employees. If think like a businessman, I would very much like people who spent their whole life training just to become my servant.

Studying Abroad Influence on Your Job:

Studying abroad, without a doubt, opens many doors of opportunities to you. If you have a heading of foreign education on your resume, it will make yours stand out among all other competitors. In addition, employers really prefer those who have the experience of studying abroad more than those who never went abroad for education for certain reasons.

Better Communications Skills:

Employers know that people who lived in a culture other than their own must have good communication skills and an open mind towards all kind of people. Job is not just about technical skills. As the world has become a global village, international dealings have become a vital fragment of every business. Businessmen look for employees who have the ability to deal with foreigners and new people. So, who could be better at this than those actually lived among them.  With this plus point, you are paid more than any normal employee as you are not just providing your technical skills but actually helping in developing the business further.

Global Social Network:

Those who have studied abroad have links in other countries than their own. When you will study abroad, you won’t be just surrounded by your own countrymen but there will be foreigners from all around the world and from that country you are studying in. whe you will spend time with them they will become a part your social circle and even after you have complete your studies and left that country, you will still be in contact with them. This will get you a social network that is spread throughout the world. Every professional knows the value of good network. A good network opens up new opportunities for you in terms of job and business. You will also have more chances of working abroad than those who have no links outside their country.

Best at What You Do:

By studying abroad you get skills according to international requirements. Learning under the supervision of qualified teachers makes you best at everything. If you go abroad to study, you will definitely get teachers and educational environment of global scope and far better than your country. By learning in a foreign country, you will learn and understand better and have the best of the concepts of everything. This gets you a job at one of the best places around the world which, of course, also pays very well too.

One thing that I want to clarify is that you will without a doubt get better job and better earning than normal people who never studied abroad but it will not make you a millionaire nor you will earn more than those who are doing business. You will still find people who are not as educated as you are but still earning more than you. Earning money is an art, if you want to earn more than learn this art. But if you want education and really wish to know the world then study abroad is a necessity for you. It also depends on you very much to succeed in life, how good you are and how much you learnt. Here is a confusing question for you that you must think about, “What is success in your view?” When you find answer to that and then work on its way.
