HEC Commonwealth Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must ensure that they are a permanent resident of Pakistan and dual nationals are not eligible to apply.

  • Candidates must not have a second or third division in their last achieved degree.

  • HEC criteria for commonwealth scholarship master, a first-class degree in relevant postgraduate qualification (16 years education).

  • An applicant for a PhD fellowship must have a first-class postgraduate degree (17/ 18 years of education) in the relevant field.

  • Candidates are required to provide proof that they are not eligible to study in the United Kingdom without this scholarship.

  • Candidates are required to provide all the academic transcripts in addition to the currently studying certification or degree if any.

  • Applicants are required to provide two reference letters.

  • The commonwealth HEC scholarship does not provide funds for a second master’s degree in the United Kingdom, candidates are required to provide justification if they look forward to a second master’s degree in the United Kingdom.
