1 Monthly Student Health Insurance

Study Abroad Insurance Tips

As there are many companies offering many study abroad insurance plans, you must consider the following tips while choosing any plan.

1 - The insurance carriers are rated by the best, standard or poor. It depends on a country what it requires about the plan and its rate. Therefore it is necessary to check the level of your study abroad destination requires.

2 - It is very important to read the exclusions and check them thoroughly. Some exclusions are stricter than other, therefore it is wise to check what is included and what is not included in the plan before you choose any plan for yourself.

3 - There are some network plans which mean the network of doctors and hospitals etc.  You have to check whether the plan participates in the network or not.

4- Check whether your plan provides you 24 hours assistance or not. Some plans offer assistance of 24 hours and some do not. Mostly the standard plans offer assistance of 24 hours, but it is necessary to ensure whether it will be accessible at the destination you are present it.

5 – You have to understand how long it will take to process the claim. It is better if the claim is processed within 2 weeks and not suitable if it takes more time. Therefore all the students must know how the company pays the claim before finalizing any plan.
