Background and History

International education has emerged from 20th Century. European universities has rolled of global students. United States has not emerged as superpower at that time. After end of World War 1, League of Nations had failed to establish peace in the world. There were persecutions of many groups of people. Adolf Hitler became Chancellor of Germany and he had a powerful role in the global politics. He has conquered Czechoslovakia before the start of World War 2. Regional people were punished for protests.

November 17 was a dreadful day in the history of global learning when many Czech universities were attacked and many of the international students were killed. One university professor and others were executed without any notification.

Many international students were formed for the protection of international students from discrimination like International Union of Students and National Union of Students in Europe

Observances of International Student Day

International Student Day is celebrated all over the world. There have been protest by the international students in 2014 for the elimination of fees and other rights for multinational education. There are lot of events, conferences, seminars and other kind of get-togethers held relating to it.
