Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Institute for Security and Development internship program, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants should be fluent in both spoken and written English.
  • Possess great research and drafting skills, and have excellent communication abilities.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Passionate with political or cultural research about Asia.
  • Applicants with knowledge of one or more Asian languages are preferred.
  • Students seeking a bachelor's degree or recent graduates in International Affairs, Culture, Asian Politics, Language Studies, and similar subjects are encouraged to apply.

Intern Responsibilities

  • Interns will plan events and manage projects.
  • Collects information about political, cultural, and economic growth.
  • Manage social media and newsletters.
  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the company.

Internship Centers

Interns at ISDP might expect to work in any of the following specialized research centers:

  • The Korea Center
  • Stockholm Centre for South Asian and Indo-Pacific Affairs
  • The Taiwan Center
  • The Asia Program
