As Australian year 12 students are taking year study gaps and thinking about delays for University study as they do not believe their educational institutions and universities opening anytime soon, therefore, creating an environment of ambiguity and confusion.

As the Australian international borders are currently closed, many international students in Australia are rethinking their career choices as they are not experiencing the same situation and feeling of attending proper education in real life, including having face to face classes due to the Impact of distance learning on students.

Students of Australia are complaining regarding the student course want. They want alteration in their course work that is in accordance with covid situation. Australian students are optimistic about returning to their positive and ambitious University and Campus life sometime in the future. Australian students are also complaining about the recent rise in art course fees to fund other study courses like science, engineering, match and nursing. Students of year 11 and 12 are feeling having loss of important potential opportunities in their life that they think will never return as they miss important milestones like celebrations and student camps. Student complain of lacking the real time connection of student interaction as most of zoom sessions, students do not share their live camera and practical study is not the same as one on one classroom experience.
International student enrollment in Australia has fallen to 12.5% in comparison to last year while higher education commencement dropped to 23%. It is expected that prospective students opinions regarding seeking higher education will change towards competitor countries like United Kingdom, USA and Canada if Australian border closure continues.
