RIKEN R-IH Summer Internship 2025 – Fully Funded Research in Japan for Students

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this distinguished internship, students must meet the following criteria:

• Currently enrolled at an academic institution for the duration of the program.
• Must not be linked with universities that currently collaborate with the Guardian Robot Project (e.g., Kyoto University, Doshisha University, Nara Institute of Science and Technology).
• Have a strong interest in technology research, artificial intelligence, and robots.

Financial Support (Fully Funded)

The program provides considerable financial aid to guarantee a smooth experience for interns:

• Round-trip airfare or bullet train cost (depending on distance).
• Accommodation assistance (JPY 11,100 per day).
• Daily allowance: JPY 2,400 for meals and other costs.
• Overall financial support:
  • First month: JPY 393,900.
  • Second month (Type A): JPY 354,510.
