· HERE SEE: Latest Ranked Top 100 Universities for 2018 by QS
1 - The Application Form
Application form can be filed online or sent physically through a study abroad counselor. It depends on you what approached you have used. I recommend to acquire the services of a study abroad counselor as they are experienced professionals and they will make the whole procedure easier for you. If you wish to submit application form online then you should go to the official website of your chosen institute. However, if you are applying to a university in United Kingdom then you will have to submit your application form through UCAS. Here you can see How to Apply for Admission in UK Universities.
Other way is to just visit a study abroad counselor. They will not only guide you about your destination but they will also render a number of institutes best for you. After that, they will submit even your application form to the university and after that all documents.
2 - Academic Certificates
Of course academic certificates are the proof that you have actually studied in life. If you are applying for an undergraduate program, you must have passed the intermediate through a proper recognized channel. If you are applying for postgraduate even then you need proper documents in the specified courses. You will have to scan the documents proper and upload them if you sending them online. Otherwise, you will give the copies of your certificates to your study abroad counselor and they will send them.
3 - Competitive Exam Grades
Before the admission, most universities require the students to take part in certain tests. First of all, IELTS or TOEFL is necessary for every university if you are applying for an English medium program from a Non-English country. Pakistan is Non-English, by the way. Then comes the tests like GAT, NAT, GRE etc. Here you can see The Tests Must Pass to Study Abroad. It is also possible that university may conduct the test itself. If you are required to take one of the international tests then you will have to submit is result along with other documents. University administration will let you know the tests you will have to take, make sure to read all the guidelines by university at the time of admission. So, there may be Two certificates here: One for English Proficiency and One of Technical Test.
4 - Passport:
Some universities also require students to submit a copy of their Passports that must be valid for at least one more year. This way they know you are prepared and serious about studying abroad. So, it is better to get a Passport in advance.
5 - Passport Size Photographs
Along with the other documents, you are also required to provide freshly taken some passport size photographs. Photos should show your complete face and not like the photos that you upload on Facebook. One thing to make sure is that you get Passport size photos, nothing else. Background are usually used Blue or white.
6 - Letters Of Recommendation/ Reference Letter
They know what you said or wrote about you but they will prefer to know what other people think of you. Reference is a great way to create a good impact on selection team. Make sure your reference letter of recommendation includes good references prepared in a formal way. A bad reference letter can also degrade your image.
7 - Statement Of Purpose
It is something like essay that you write about yourself. Sometimes with the application form or along with the other documents, university also asks for a statement of purpose. It tells them why they should give you the opportunity to study in their university and who you are. Statement of Purpose should be short yet descriptive. Take time and help to write a good statement of purpose. It should be formal and must not have anything informal like “Please choose me” or “I’ll pray for you if you choose me”. Prepare it prior hand will be a wise choice so you can make it better with the time.
8 - Resume or CV
It is not compulsory, however, a CV or Resume is often demanded by institute. It is usually asked from the students of Postgraduate and Research programs. If you can provide a CV, it will be appreciated. You should make sure that it is professional and formal. A good CV or Resume will leave a good impression on the selection team. It is usually used to present the professional experiences that undergraduates hardly have any.
9 - Experience Documents
If you are providing the CV then you should also submit the experience documents with it. These will be given to you by your former and current employers if you have any. Good experience documents are a great way to get a good impression. Just like CV it is also not compulsory.
10 - Additional Documents
If you have some additional documents, they must also be prepared in advance. Searching at last moment can be really irritating. Your additional documents are something like certificate of short course or some other achievements in extracurricular activities or anything that shows your talent. These are not necessary but if you have good certifications, I would recommend them.
