Technical Studentship in Geneva, Switzerland

CERN, the European Council for Nuclear Research invites application every year for the Technical Studentship program to equip students with the work experience in IT, Robotics and Math. This invaluable opportunity allows the students to participate in the cutting-edge technology and collaborate with professionals to enhance their skills along with academic journey.

Geneva, Switzerland is the location of this traineeship. 80 students will get selected for this studentship. Students must be passionate about ongoing research work in their field of study.

Financial advantage includes 

  • A monthly stipend of 3452 Swiss Francs is provided each month to the students. As per estimate, monthly expense of a single person living in Geneva is almost around 3000 Swiss francs depending on the lifestyle of person. 

  • Travel allowance will be provided separately. 

  • 2 to 5 paid leaves per month during the tenure.  

Eligibility

The traineeship welcomes passionate students who are fully committed to their work and are lifelong learner. 

The contract of traineeship is from 4 to 6 months. 

Applicant must be a full-time student in any field of study relevant to the Information Technologies, Mathematics, and Robotics.

Participated students must have completed at least three semesters of undergraduate studies. Master’s students may also apply for this opportunity. 

Application Process

The applications are being accepted through online portal. You won't be able to edit application once done. It is recommended to use Notepad to prepare your answers regarding Education, Experience and personal statement before writing in application as you will have limited time during submission.  

  • Academic Transcript showing score report 

  • CV 

  • Reference Letters (RF must be from your academic professor. However, you may add more than one if you have a reference from your previous internship experience. 

  • Your personal statement must communicate properly about your previous education and experience. Details should be specific as generic statements will result in application rejection. 

  • Good knowledge of English/French.
