Sajeed Aslam head of ACCA Pakistan during an interview with the press expressed his plans to groom Pakistani accountants to match international professional standards. The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is taking rapid initiatives to help its members advance in new age business environment. ACCA has membership in 172 countries including Pakistan. In Pakistan, ACCA has more 35,000 members. According to Sajeed Saleem ,” Recently three memberships were cancelled, of members who were found violating the ethical standards”.
The ACCA head Pakistan said that Pakistan needs to increase to produce 40,000 to 50,000 accountants every year. Globally, the need of professional accountants is rising, if Pakistan succeeds in producing skillful and able accountants than it will help in betterment of GDP. Almost 100,000 accounting jobs can be derived and capital of $3 billion can be brought to Pakistan in next five years. ACCA offers plenty of opportunities to students in international institutes and national institutes for development of skills in business fields.
According to him, ACCA is looking forward to increase its membership in Pakistan soon. He said, “The need of ACCA qualified professionals in the public sector is also rising to increase the GDP of Pakistan.” And further he explained, “an ACCA is not just an accountant who prepares audit reports, he is thoroughly trained in all relevant fields to perform well in diverse fields relating to his specialization. “ACCA education teaches them the correct and optimum use of their available resources, to excel in the long-run”.
Business management study is regarded as most sought after educational field. The jobs related to ACCA are present in every field and salaries are in good amount. A large amount of students choose business courses as their major in Pakistan.
