The McGraw Fellowship for Business Journalism with up to $15,000 Award is Open

For Journalists, City University of New York is accepting Proposals for the Investigative reports around the topics such as economic, education, environment, corporate accountability, business and financial issues. The story proposal must be intriguing and in need of financial support for complete investigation. The goal of this fellowship is to promote the quality of business journalism through financial support and providing a platform to be voice of emerging journalists who lack resources to produce investigative reports.

Benefits

Financial support up to $15,000 to cover the investigative stories.

Applicants with the accepted proposals will be asked to submit estimated budget and will be further financially supported. 

The McGraw Centre will provide Editorial Support to the fellowship holders and offers throughout their journey of reporting. They will be mentored and learn how to shape ideas and develop a progressive research during report and create impactful stories. 

Requirements

• Latest Resume.

• At least 5 years of experience as a journalist is required.  

• Applications are accepted from the freelance journalists, news reporters, and from editors of any organization (Profit/Non-Profit). 

• Professional work samples are required to exhibit the ability to cover in-depth story.

References are required later from the chosen applicants only.
