Dissemination of scientific culture is recognized to be an ever-growing necessity in modern, knowledge-based societies, for general public and decision makers alike. As journalists play a key role in promoting and strengthening a sound dialogue between scientists and society, the School provides every year to a group of young journalists, gathered in the medieval town of Erice (Sicily), an overview of the most recent achievements in a given scientific theme or research field, alongside an analysis of the communication challenges they present.
Eligible Countries: EU and Foreign students.

Eligible Countries:
Open to international students with residence permits for international protection, temporary protection, or special protection under Italian immigration regulations.

Any subject offered by the University of Turin
Hold a valid residence permit for international protection, temporary protection due to the Ukrainian humanitarian emergency, or special protection
Have a foreign qualification suitable for enrollment in the 2024-2025 academic year

The University of Turin funds 10 annual scholarships "UniTo for Students at Risk" for international students who are refugees and holding:
A residence permit for international protection
A residence permit for temporary protection
A residence permit for reasons of special protection, for another form of protection under current Italian immigration regulations.
The scholarships are reserved to the above-mentioned categories of international students who wish to enroll for the first time in the academic year 2024-2025 in the first year of studies of a degree program without a fixed quota of places (not requiring to pass an admission test).

Language Proficiency Requirements:
To be enrolled in Italian language taught course, the non native Italian speakers need to prove their proficiency in Italian language through relevant Italian language certificate.
Under the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) the minimum level required to prove proficiency in Italian language is B2.
The candidates, who are studying or have studied a course in Italian Language, must provide Italian Language certificate issued by the language teacher of their department in the university.
Siena International Excellence Scholarships
In line with initiatives aimed at enhancing the international attractiveness of its academic programs, the University of Siena is providing grants to honor distinguished international students and encourage their enrollment in selected Master’s degree programs (Lauree Magistrali).

The scholarships are awarded to the most talented students admitted to selected Master’s degree programs conducted entirely in English.
