AISA is a national human rights entity that is part of a global human rights movement. Our mission in South Africa is to address pertinent national human rights issues through research, campaigning, mobilizing, advocacy and human rights education; to empower people in South Africa to take action on issues that matter to them through Amnesty International’s global human rights movement; and to leverage South Africa’s influence regionally and globally to promote human rights domestically, bilaterally and internationally.
About this position
Amnesty International South Africa is looking for a self-motivated, independent person at the start of their career to help us achieve excellence in NGO governance. Candidates should be committed to Amnesty International’s values and goals, and have a demonstrable history of activism in areas related to Amnesty’s work.
Amnesty International South Africa NPC (AISA) is a national entity dedicated to protecting and promoting human rights as part of Amnesty International’s global movement. Based in Johannesburg, AISA addresses pressing human rights issues within South Africa through research, advocacy, mobilization, and education.
