The China Scholarship Council (CSC) predominantly funds Chinese university students to study overseas for PhD degrees in the fields of science and technology, but will also consider disciplines in the humanities. CSC awards typically cover airfares and living costs for up to four years. Cardiff University is offering tuition fee scholarships to successful China Scholarship Council students who are not currently enrolled on a PhD programme.

The HUST University is accepting applications for International Graduate programs for the 2025 academic year. Students can apply for the Masters, and PhD Degree programs under the Chinese Scholarship Council to study free of cost at Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
Master’s Program Applicants:
Must hold a Bachelor’s degree.
Must be under 35 years old.
Doctoral Program Applicants:
Must hold a Master’s degree.
Must be under 40 years old.
Degree Equivalence:
All degrees must be equivalent to Chinese degrees.
English Language Proficiency: TOEFL 80, IELTS 6.0 GRE General 310 or above.
Other certificates of the same level are also acceptable

Supervisor’s Acceptance Letter; You should start contacting relevant potential supervisors of USTC or UCAS to get an acceptance letter before the start of application. Make sure you email only those professors whose research profile matches your interest and past academic experiences.

Applicants must be medically fit without any health issue
Must have degree of passed examination, whose degrees are in process or not completed cannot apply for CSC scholarships
They also have to meet the Chinese University’s additional criteria

Categories Of CSC Scholarships
There are three types of scholarships announced by China Scholarship Council
Chinese Government Scholarship Type A
Through this scholarship type students can apply directly to the China embassy for CSC scholarship, and students can apply to maximum two universities through this category.
Chinese Government Scholarship Type B
Through this type, applicants can apply through Chinese universities for CCS Scholarships. Though they can apply to 3 universities by this CSC Scholarship category/ type.
