Benefiting Women Scholars
The University of Johannesburg Margaret McNamara Education Grants are designed to support women pursuing higher education degrees and research programs at the University of Johannesburg. These grants provide financial assistance to women scholars, enabling them to access quality education and contribute to their fields of study. By investing in women’s education, the program aims to promote gender equality, empower women leaders, and foster positive societal change.


Department of Higher Education and Training
Eligible:
South African, Basotho, or Malawian national students are eligible to apply.
Master of PhD study programmes in any field of study, but preferably in Science, engineering, and technology fields and niche courses not available in South Africa offered in a French institute of higher education can be applied for.
Criteria:
The applicants must be born on or after 1st January 1992.
The applicants must be eligible for admission to the chosen Masters’s or Doctoral programme.
The applicants must have enrolled in a French Higher Education institution to pursue a Master’s degree or PhD.
