Leakey Foundation Research Grants 2024.

Value of the Grants:

Only research on human origins is funded by the leakey Foundatin funding is oftern prioritized for the exploratory stages of innovative research initiatives that show promise and align with the Foundation's stated goals. With a financial cap of $20,000, the bulk of research grants from The Leakey Foundation given to doctorate candidates fall between the $3,000 and $15,000 range. Senior scientists and post-doctoral researchers may be eligible for larger awards of up to $30,000. The funding caps have been raised to $20,000 for PhD candidates and $30,000 for post-doctoral researchers and senior scientists starting of May 2022.

Value of the Scholarship:

The scholarship provides a $15,000 living stipend in addition to funding health insurance, overseas travel, and visa assistance. The fellow will have use of a shared workspace at the Center in addition to library access.
