Duration of Program

Associate Degree: 1 year of the Korean language program, 2~3 years of the degree program

Undergraduate Degree: 1 year of the Korean language program, 4~6 years of the degree program

Eligibility Criteria for the GKS Undergraduate Scholarship 2024

Citizens of all countries can apply except Korean citizens.

Applicants who have a bachelor‟s degree cannot apply.

Applicants who have associate degrees can only apply to a bachelor’s program.

KAIST 

During COVID, they used to do online events. But they have started it again now. In Person, the event is Back. IELTS is not required for this Camp. No Application Fee. Open to students from all around the world.

GIST

The GIST scholars are equipped with world-class knowledge and skills regarding science and technology through research-oriented projects and courses. Furthermore, GIST’s fully-funded scholarship is a project of the university with the South Korean Ministry of Science and Technology.

Benefits of the GIST Scholarship in South Korea:

PhD students will be given a monthly stipend of 295,000 Won.

Both MS and PhD students will be given a meal allowance of 100,000 Won. (Note: Students have to complete at least 9 credits in the previous semester in order to get student and meal allowance).

An international student allowance of 120,000 Won will be given to both MS and PhD students, however, the student has to maintain a 3 or higher GPA out of 4.5 in the previous semester.

Eligibility Criteria of the GIST Scholarship 2023 in South Korea:

The applicant must or expect to hold a final degree before enrollment at GIST.

The applicant’s bachelor’s degree must be equivalent to a Korean bachelor’s degree.

The applicant must be an international student.

The applicant must be proficient in the English language.

 Application Deadline: April 15, 2023.

Kangwon National University

Eligible:

All international as well as domestic students can apply.

Any undergraduate programme of choice offered at the Kangwon National University can be applied.

Criteria: 

The applicants must have obtained TOPIK level 4 or higher or completed the language course from the KNU International Language Institute.

Korea University

Eligible:

International students can only apply.

Criteria: 

The applicants must have a cumulative GPA from the previous (latest) school of 4.0 or higher (out of 4.5), 3.83 or  higher (out of 4.3), 3.57 or higher (out of 4.0), or 90 or higher (out of 100)

The applicants must meet the English language requirements.

Last date:

7th March to 18th March 2022.

Sogang University

Eligible:

All international students are eligible to apply.

Criteria: 

The students must have a grade point average of 2.50 or higher out of 4.30 to continue receiving the scholarship.
