Who Can Apply?
The Heinrich Böll Foundation Scholarship is open to both German and international students pursuing Master's or PhD studies in Germany. To be eligible, candidates must:
- Show good academic performance.
- Demonstrate a strong dedication to political, social, and environmental problems.
- Be highly motivated to contribute to societal change.
- International students must provide confirmation of their German language skills (at least at the B2 level).
- Enroll (or plan to enroll) in a recognized German university.
Financial Assistance
The award covers tuition, living expenses, and research expenditures. This means that students can concentrate on their education without financial constraints.
- Master's students will get a monthly stipend of €850 plus additional allowances.
- PhD students receive a monthly stipend of €1,200, plus additional money for research expenditures.
