The DAAD Helmut-Schmidt-Programme (known as Public Policy and Good Governance) supports future leaders from developing countries (see list of countries), who want to promote democracy and social justice in their home countries. The programme, which is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, offers the chance to acquire a Master’s degree in Master programmes.

The University of Augsburg is a renowned institution known for its interdisciplinary approach to education and research located in Bavaria, Germany.

Demonstrate outstanding commitment to supporting the international context of the university (e.g., participation in events such as orientation programs or country evenings organized by the International Office).

The program provides valuable experience in a world-class scientific environment, allowing participants to contribute to research projects and learn about the ESO organization. There is no application fee.
Astronomy Knowledge: Interns should possess a broad knowledge and interest in basic astronomy, including topics like:
Stargazing
How telescopes work
Key astronomical objects
Language Skills: Good knowledge of both English and German is required.


The University of Augsburg offers this supplementary certificate as training for counsellors in conducting ecclesiastical marriage annulment proceedings. Students are introduced to the basics of Catholic canon law and ecclesiastical marriage and procedural law.
Degree Programmes

Music Therapy (M.A.)
In the master’s degree programme in music therapy students acquire knowledge about the methods used in music therapy and their application, as well as practical musical and self-reflective skills.




Programme Description
The International Excellence Scholarship Programme (IES) is a scholarship programme that enables ambitious students of all fields of study from Eastern and Southeastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia with above-average grades to spend a semester abroad in Berlin. This programme gives students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge at the best German universities (HU Berlin, FU Berlin, HWR Berlin, University of Potsdam).
