The scholarship program is being held for international students who are residing in a Hungarian Diaspora. They can qualify to win this application if they have undertaken their undergraduate or graduate-level degree studies in any field of their eligible Hungarian institute or university.

Students can apply for a higher education degree at a Hungarian university or college of choice.

To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
The applicants must apply for admission in an eligible institute.
The applicants must be members of a Hungarian diaspora living in any country outside of the European Union, the Republic of Serbia or the Zakarpattia Oblast of Ukraine.

SZTE Start Scholarship
500 EUR contribution to the start of your studies at the University of Szeged in one instalment. All together 12 students (ideally one student from each Faculty of the University) can be awarded their academic excellence.
Eligibility:
Students who submit their application dossier by 30th of April 2024 in the Dream Apply application platform. Based on the decision of the Committee of Talent Cenre, applicants can be awarded the SZTE Start Scholarship if:
Their application status is ‘Place reserved’ in the application platform of the University by 30th June 2024 (meaning that they are accepted to the programme and paid the tuition fee indicated on the relevant payment notification)

Application and Selection Process:
Applicants who were not selected in previous years may re-apply to the 2023-2024 Program, submitting the complete dossier by email only.
The duration of the scholarship cannot be extended or postponed.
The master courses will only start if a sufficient number of applications are received.
A Scholarship Study Contract will be signed between the selected student and the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary (MoAH) at the time of the first semester registration.

The scholarship program is open to talented students who want to enroll in a BSc and MSc programs at the university. The main aim of this award is to encourage such students to continue their exceptional performance.
