Benefits:
The winners of the support will be given a minimum flat-rate amount of EURO 5,257.74 by the Ministry of University and Research for studying away from home in Italy.

To be eligible for the “UniTo for Students at Risk” scholarships for the academic year 2024-2025 at the University of Turin, applicants must be international students who hold a residence permit for international protection, temporary protection, or special protection under Italian immigration laws.
The University or Turin strongly encourages and supports students’ mobility across countries and disciplines.The Erasmus+ exchange programme allows students currently studying at a European university to spend part of their study period in a partner university.
International degree programs
The University of Turin offers a range of programs aimed at obtaining two or more academic degrees/joint degrees as well as several degree programs totally taught in English.
Students joining a double degree program or a joint degree program should directly contact the Secretariat of the related Department in Turin in order to be registered. These students will be registered as properly enrolled students and not as exchange students.
The University of Turin funds 10 annual scholarships "UniTo for Students at Risk" for international students who are refugees and holding:
A residence permit for international protection
A residence permit for temporary protection
A residence permit for reasons of special protection, for another form of protection under current Italian immigration regulations.
The scholarships are reserved to the above-mentioned categories of international students who wish to enroll for the first time in the academic year 2024-2025 in the first year of studies of a degree program without a fixed quota of places (not requiring to pass an admission test).

Benifits of the Italian Government Scholarship
The scholarship holders are exempted from payment of tuition fee and enrollment fee which will be covered by the Italian Government.
In case of admissions in courses in Italian language and Italian culture, the tuition fee payment is exemption to grantees but they must pay enrollment fee from personal expenses.
Health Insurance Coverage:
The Italian Government Scholarship covers health insurance expense for the entire duration of scholarship holder’s stay in Italy until his/her study programme ends. It will include medical coverage in case of accident, medical condition that occurred during stay in Italy.
Any pre-existing medical and pathological health condition of the scholarship holder will not be covered in health insurance provided by the Italian Government Scholarship Programme.
Language Proficiency Requirements:
To be enrolled in Italian language taught course, the non native Italian speakers need to prove their proficiency in Italian language through relevant Italian language certificate.
Under the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) the minimum level required to prove proficiency in Italian language is B2.
The candidates, who are studying or have studied a course in Italian Language, must provide Italian Language certificate issued by the language teacher of their department in the university.
