Candidates must have to take admission in a PhD degree program at the University of Twente. After that, applicants must complete the online application form for this position.
Criteria:
You hold a master's degree in civil or environmental engineering and management, or another interdisciplinary field.
You have demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following areas: life cycle analysis, life cycle pricing, and cultural heritage valuation.
Programming abilities are desired (e.g., MATLAB, Python).
You are fluent in both spoken and written English. Excellent mastery of the Dutch language is advantageous.
You are capable of working independently.
You are excited to work with scholars from various academic fields as well as practitioners from municipalities, contractors, and engineering businesses.
You are passionate about studying and preserving old civil structures.

PhD Candidate Biopsychosocial factors in chronic skin conditions
In this PhD project, you will focus on examining the biopsychosocial impact of six chronic skin conditions, and the influence of this biopsychosocial impact on disease outcomes and treatment outcomes.
Finding the right treatment at the right moment for the individual patient with a skin condition is the main aim of Next Generation ImmunoDermatology (NGID), a large nationwide consortium that this PhD project will be a part of.
In this PhD project, your main focus will be to examine the influence of biopsychosocial factors such as distress, expectancies and stigmatization on disease outcomes in patients with chronic skin conditions.
