Kyoto University iCeMS Internship 2025
This internship aims to offer international students a valuable research experience, to inspire them to choose Kyoto University for their graduate studies. Participants will arrive at the Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences .
2025 Internship Announcement
The iCeMS Internship Program is open to all Nationals.
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program at a foreign university.
Must have at least two semesters of undergraduate study remaining after program completion.
Demonstrated interest in pursuing graduate studies at Kyoto University within an iCeMS laboratory.


RIKEN IMS is currently accepting applications for the FY2025 RIKEN IMS Internship Program, from talented students/postdoctoral fellows who would like to experience RIKEN's research activities.
Program Description
The RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Sciences was established in 2013 with the aims of creating innovative medical science and contributing to the future of human health. To accomplish these goals, IMS applies interdisciplinary approaches to create a new research area of integrative medical sciences, which includes genome-wide medical science, immunology and physiology, bioinformatics, and molecular, biochemical and quantitative sciences.
Eligibility
Applicants in Category 1 must be students in a Master's or PhD program or medical students at a level equivalent to that of a Master's student in Japan. Applicants in Category 2 must be young postdocs within three years of obtaining their PhD. Applicants must be enrolled in an academic institution during the proposed internship period.


OIST Research Internship Program Description
The OIST Graduate School offers education and research opportunities through our Research Internship program in STEM fields. The internship is typically 3 to 6 months. These short-term placements give students the opportunity to gain experience in a particular laboratory or to learn a specific technique. Research Interns will work under the direction of a Professor and contribute to the research activities of OIST.
Support
The following supports are only available for the research intern and do not extend to dependents, family members, or others.

Important Notes
Any false information in the application documents will lead to rejection and repayment of the scholarship.
Scholarship recipients must complete their education program or they must repay the scholarship if they drop out or are expelled.
Recipients must submit periodic reports and may be required to attend JPSS events or accept interviews.
Scholarships are provided by Benesse Corporation.
