The Wageningen University & Research will provide a gross salary for the first year is € 2.541- per month, rising to € 3.247, – in the fourth year, according to the Collective Labour Agreements for Dutch Universities (CAO-NU) (scale P). This is based on a full-time working week of 38 hours. We offer a temporary contract for 18 months which will be extended for the project’s duration if you perform well.

This research combines controlled, quantitative experiments with theoretical modelling to capture the essential dynamics of immune cells. This research thereby aims to advance our understanding of cytoskeletal mechanics and phagocytosis, one of the most essential processes in cell biology.

PhD Candidate Biopsychosocial factors in chronic skin conditions
In this PhD project, you will focus on examining the biopsychosocial impact of six chronic skin conditions, and the influence of this biopsychosocial impact on disease outcomes and treatment outcomes.
Finding the right treatment at the right moment for the individual patient with a skin condition is the main aim of Next Generation ImmunoDermatology (NGID), a large nationwide consortium that this PhD project will be a part of.
In this PhD project, your main focus will be to examine the influence of biopsychosocial factors such as distress, expectancies and stigmatization on disease outcomes in patients with chronic skin conditions.

The scholarship will be awarded for a Master’s or PhD degree program in any subject offered by Tilburg University.
Admissible Criteria:
Applicants must be Mexican nationals, have achieved a GPA of 8.0 minimum 10-point scale in their first-degree program (i.e., Licenciatura), and hold a first-degree Mexican ‘Titulo.’
