Benefits
Full-time position as a doctoral fellow for up to 48 months, starting October 1, 2024.
Fellowship amount equivalent to 100% of the net salary of an AAP member, determined by family status and seniority.
Tax-free grant under the regulations for doctoral fellowships.
Additional benefits include training and education opportunities, 36 days of holiday leave, bicycle allowance, and eco vouchers.
The visiting scholars will be given office space and access to facilities (such as the library) as Ghent University visiting scholars.

Reporting
At the end of the stay the researcher’s supervisor will be asked to fill in a very brief evaluation form to indicate the output of the research stay and draw lessons for the future.
Practical matters
The Africa Platform will assist awardees with practical arrangements such as insurance, visa and application for housing at the university residences.

Acceptable Course or Subjects:

PhD degree in Microbiology, Entomology, Vector Biology, or related field in IMT.

Preferably, previous expertise in entomology and mouse models
High level of enthusiasm and motivation, and scientifically curious
Excellent scientific writing and oral communication skills in English
