International Stipend and Fee Research Scholarship (DPHD)

Application Status

University of Southern Queensland provides PhD Stipend and Fee Scholarship for the International applicants. Students can check their filed of interest from the posted positions and contact the potential supervisor before submitting the application.

If someone want to apply for the Industry Stream instead of academic position, he can discuss it with the prospective supervisor and select an industry partner upon his recommendation. For it, selected candidate must complete internship for minimum 60 days and industry must have to provide Letter of Support to the accepted candidate. Benefits

• Accepted students will get the allowance of AUD $35,000 each year.

• UniSQ will waive the 3-year tuition fees for full-time students.

Eligibility

• Academic records with achievement in postgraduate degree (academic awards/class of honors).

• Ability to do high quality research and publications in high impact factor journal / have presented research at conferences /internship experience / anything to support this capability.

• Research Proposal (clearly stat the values of proposed research and impact of the work).

• Collaboration with Supervisor (complementary expertise and resources available for successfully completing the research and publishing it in the high impact factor journals). 

How to Apply 

Online application form should be submitted with 

• A detailed CV;

• Supervisor Support Letter (Acceptance letter). To get the acceptance letter from the supervisor, check https://expertfinder.unisq.edu.au/ and select your area of expertise;

• HDR Preliminary Thesis Topic Proposal available on the website containing three sections; one filled by the applicants and other two are required by the proposed Principal Supervisor and Head of School/Centre Director for Nominee respectively;

• Statement of Claim (regarding fulfilling the admission criteria);

• Proof of citizenship;

• Academic transcripts of undergraduate and post-graduate degrees and awards details;

• For Industry Stream application, Letter of Support issued by the chosen industry must be submitted. Discuss with the chosen supervisor and select an industry.

Yes, this scholarship is to attract International students. 

Is there any undergraduate scholarship for the students who have just completed Intermediate?

The University of Southern Queensland offers various funding for all degree programs. Some of the degrees are partial funded by the university while some are fully-funded sponsored by Australian Government and other organizations. Students are allowed to apply for various scholarships at the same time offered by the university.
