Eligibility

As the scholarship invites applications from talented individuals and give them a chance to experience best educational, cultural and social perks during their time in England, GRE/GMAT scores are not required. It is purely based on your academic performance of past qualification. 

To be eligible for any study program, record of academic excellence (distinct class honors etc.), working experience, projects/previous research will increase your chances of acceptance. 

Publications are not necessary. However, any research experience in the desired field or relevant to Proposed Research will give an edge to your application. 

You must be passionate about the Research Proposed and have reasoning ability. 

For the Proposed Research, applicants should contact the relevant professors of the Oxford University and get approval from them. Professors also post about open positions for research work, you must apply for it by contacting the relevant professor. 

You must have relevant work/research experience in the field you are applying for or proof to express your interest in the selected domain. 

Minimum Language Requirements include Academic IELTS with 7.0; TOEFL with 100; C1 Advanced with 185; C2 Proficiency with 185.

Admission fees for applying to the university for any course is £20. However, application fee could be waived off if you are from low income countries.

It is recommended to contact the relevant professor before submitting your application. 

While filling the form, 'Field and title of research project' requires the information of the advertised project details. There will be a separate section for submitting Research Proposal separately. 

Required Documents

  • Academic Transcripts Details (English translations if these are in foreign language) and any record of academic excellence during the degree

  • Work Experience/Research experience/Internship or any additional document to support application 

  • Language Proficiency Evidence (details are given in Eligibility section)

  • Three Reference Letters

  • Statement of Purpose (SOP) majorly plays a role in the whole application as it will highlight your goals and ambitions you want to pursue and passionate about. SOP will be accessed by your motivation of applying, how your previous work/interest matches the research you are applying for, proof that you can conduct research and can work persistently in the chosen filed. 

FAQs

Do I have to apply separately for the admission in the desired field and scholarship application?

No, once you secure admission in the Oxford University in any program of Master's and PhD, you will be automatically contacted by the Clarendon Foundation and will be eligible for the scholarship. 

I want to pursue a research degree in Master's. Do I have to contact the prospective supervisor? 

It is recommended to contact the supervisor before applying for your desired field of research as it will increase your chances of selection if your interest is closely aligned with the supervisor's work. You may choose up to 3 projects you want to work at. 

As a Pakistani candidate, what to do if I am unable to pay the admission fee?

It is suggested to apply for the application fee waiver as you belong to low-income country. The admission fees will be waived off easily and you can apply in up to 3 programs/courses at a time.
