Khalifa University Scholarship 2024 (Fully Funded) MS & PhD
Khalifa University of UAE is a prestigious research-focused university and offers a diverse range of programs in sciences, engineering and technology. The campus comprises 70% international students fostering a multi-cultural environment of diverse thinkers. The university supports multi-cultural events to celebrate its diversity. University provides various opportunities to international students as paid research assisstant during their studies. Academically, the environment is competitive for the post-graduate students.
Applications for postgraduate and PhD students are open in Khalifa University of Abu Dhabi, UAE. The application procedure is easy and online. No separate application is required for scholarship. Applicants’ profile will be accessed and selected for Tier I and Tier II, Tier III and Tier IV Scholarship type. Tier I and Tier II is fully-funded scholarship. However, others are partially financially supported if a student gets selected through it. Seats for full-funded scholarships are limited.

Benefits for Master’s Students
Scholarship Type Tier I and Tier II (Full-Time or Part-Time) provides following benefits:

Tier I and Tier II type of scholarship is fully funded. Students who wish to pursue studies during their job and cannot attend university for full-time are also encouraged to apply as part-time students. Those students are required to attend university for one day per week especially foe weekly meetings with the supervisor during the research project. The flexibility of time and cooperation to employers is given during their Master’s program.

Fully funded tuition fees. Course fees i.e., Masters AED 5,000 per credit hour is covered by this scholarship during the postgraduate program.

Textbooks provided by the university.

University accommodation. Full-time students who scored scholarship will be able to avail the opportunity of free university accommodation. However, employers enrolled in fully-funded part-time course are not eligible for free university accommodation.

Health insurance is sponsored by the Khalifa University.

UAE Visa fees is covered for accepted students.
Benefits for Doctorate Students
PhD students eligible for Tier I scholarship enjoy full-funded program along with monthly stipend provided to them. PhD Programs are only full-time. Benefits of this type of scholarship are given below:

Tuition fees of AED 6,666 per credit hour will be covered.

Monthly stipend 20,000 AED for the eligible applicants.

Additional monthly allowance of 20,000 AED could be provided on approval with scholarship progression.

Eligibility for Master’s Degree Program

Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline with minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0, or equivalent.

English proficiency iBT TOEFL score of 91/Academic IELTS with 6.5 score/ EmSAT English score of 1550.

GRE with minimum 150 score.

Application Procedure of Khalifa University Scholarship 2025
Applications are opened for both Master’s and PhD programs through online portal.
Full-time Students required registration for 3-4 courses per semester i.e., 9-12 credit hours.
Part-time Students should register themselves for 2 courses (6 credit hours) each semester.
Required Documents
For the successful applications, following documents are required to upload at their official application link. Documents should be properly scanned before uploading on application portal.

Certified Bachelor’s/Master’s degree certificate. For Pakistani students, Equivalency Certificates for these degrees must be obtained from the UAE Ministry of Education. This process takes time so the applicants should apply for it as soon as possible.

Official school transcript with a clear explanation of grading scale.

English language proficiency certificate (IELTS, TOEFL, or EmSAT).

Any delay in the submission of official documents or in case of any missing document will cancel the admission of the applicant.
FAQs About the Scholarship
Is it possible to change the references after submitting the application through online system?
Yes, name of Referee can be changed by emailing the Admission officer.
Are the credit hours from another institution transferrable?
For it, the institution must be accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education and only for significant equivalent courses of graduate degree. However, any kind of work experience or training will not be credited. The applicant is required to submit official transcript with description of taken academic courses.
What is the required CGPA for the Master’s program applicant?
The minimum required CGPA is 3 out of 4 in the Bachelor’s degree for the postgraduate studies.
Is transportation facility available for the students whose residence is not near campus location?
Students can avail university transportation and a schedule is provided for the various routes and timings of transport.
Can I apply with a Non-UAE Bachelor’s degree?
Yes. However, Certified Bachelor’s degree should be approved by the UAE Ministry of Education and an Equivalency Certificates must be obtained from the UAE Ministry of Education.
