NSTC International Internship Pilot Program, IIPP has opened by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) Taiwan for 2024 applicants and offering 600 internship positions for the International graduates. Pakistani students who have Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degrees can apply for these internship positions without IELTS. They will not only receive a handsome monthly allowances to cover their living expenses while living in Taiwan but also work experience. After completing the internship successfully, Pakistani students have a chance of securing a job in Taiwan. Taiwan is in need of more workforce and thus, it will be a great opportunity to start a career in your domain. Furthermore, it will open up more work opportunities for them outside the Taiwan as well.
Bachelor’s students can apply for advanced studies in Taiwan after completing their internship. Gaining work experience outside their home country (Pakistan) will give an edge to their application and practical experience to stand out in the competing job market.

Benefits
Monthly Stipend
Internship period will last for up to three months. During this period, intern will receive a monthly allowance of NT$ 30,000. This allowance will be enough to cover the living expenses of interns while living in Taiwan.
Work Experience
IIPP internship content is designed by the Project Leaders and includes industry-oriented work focusing on gaining more practical experiences in the research institutions and the laboratories.
Community Interaction
Project leaders will help students to engage with locals and get to know Taiwan. This will be a great opportunity to explore a new place, to interact with locals and become acquainted with the career opportunities in Taiwan.
Job Offer
Taiwan workforce needs professional and this internship is a way to recruit global talent. The policy of the National Science and Technology Council of Taiwan encourages the applicants to join the Taiwan workforce after the successful completion of internship, further opening up job opportunities for the interns.
Eligibility
Foreign nationality applicants holding Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degree are eligible to apply for this IIPP Program. Those who are currently enrolled should submit certificate of enrollment to be eligible for the internship.
If an applicant gets acceptance from the Project Leader of any Taiwan University, he will get invitation for IIPP Program.
Project leader may request for submitting additional academic record depending on the field you are applying for.
Application Procedure
The application should be submitted through online portal including all required documents.

Education Background (Upload academic qualification / current level of education).

Experience Section (you may include previous internships / traineeships, work experiences or any other significant project you have done).

Research Field- Choose the internship field you want to pursue and extensive details of the research field is required for the application.

Other Information section includes time of joining you are available in and Autobiography (Personal Statement highlighting your strengths and how will you contribute to Taiwan's technological development).

Does NSTC International Internship Pilot Program open application every year?
Those applicants who fail to get PI funding this year can apply next year for this program and can contact PI as a potential candidate to secure their spot and funding in their desired field of study.
