Open Doors Olympiad 2024

Application Status

Russian Government is providing Open Door Scholarships for the International students who aim to visit Russia for higher studies. The leading institutes of Russia including Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (National Research University), Moscow State University, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) etc. 

Russia is not only a safe study destination but also provides free language learning program to the international students for a year before the start of official academic year. Universities offer diverse range of disciplines with an option of English-taught programs.

Benefits

This scholarship is funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and, advantages include 

• No tuition fees. 

• Monthly allowance is provided to accepted students for the living cost and the amount varies by the university.

• University campuses provide cheap accommodation to the students.

• International students can work in Russia without work permit and university also accommodates in the job placements.

• No language evidence (IELTS etc.) is required in the application. 

Eligibility 

Candidates applying for any degree program must have to pass portfolio assessment in the first stage of application. 

Only those will be entered in the Olympiad who cleared initial assessment. Applicants have to pass the test to be eligible for the scholarship. 

PhD students will have to appear in the Interview Session with the chosen three prospective supervisors for the final assessment. 

Degree Requirement

For the Bachelor’s application, student must have cleared high school. A Bachelor’s degree is required for the Master’s application. PhD admission demands both undergraduate and master’s qualification. There is no need for notarized documents to clear the assessments. However, if the student gets accepted, notarized documents are required for further admission procedure. 

Language Requirement 

No IELTS or any other specific language evidence is required. Universities offer both English and Russian taught programs. If you get acceptance in a degree program offered in Russian, you will be given free language classes for a year before starting your academic year in the university.

May I apply for more than one subject during application?

Yes, applicants can appear in more than one Olympiad if they clear first initial portfolio selection.
