Knight-Hennessy Scholars Programs is about preparing students to understand complex global challenges by engaging them in a diverse multi-cultural community coming from across the world at the Denning House. Denning House is a place present in the Stanford campus where Knight-Hennessy Scholars Programs is held every year. This spacious place comprises lounge with snacks, a dining room and a place for lectures, roundtable discussions, meeting rooms and classrooms.
Programs Offered
The program is designed to make scholars an indispensable member of the King Global Leadership Program. King Global Leadership Program is not an ordinary course of KHS’ program but it covers optional programming of the scholars taking place at the meal times. The programming includes practicing communication skills through interactive sessions, story-telling and leadership development sessions as an integral part. The elective part includes discussing real world problems, finding common ground and creative solutions and case-based leadership studies through community leaders and faculty.
Applicants can apply to any full-time graduate program offered by Stanford University including Doctor of Musical Arts, Juris Doctor, MA, MBA, Doctor of Medicine, Master of Fine Arts, Masters of Public Policy, MS and PhD programs.

Eligibility
For the eligibility:

Applicants have to submit two applications separately; one for Knight-Hennessy Scholarship and the other for Stanford University degree program separately.

Applicant must have to secure admission in the Stanford university to be eligible for the KHS Program.

Acceptance criteria does not require any high grades, scores or achievements. Applicants are evaluated based on the characteristics such as thinkers who can solve problems, have intellectual curiosity for new experiences and knowledge, purposeful leadership and civic mindset.

must have an undergraduate degree prior to September 2025 and must not have graduated before September 2018.

TOFEL is required as English Proficiency Evidence. However, applicants from non-English speaking countries may also apply for Exemption from TOFEL with an English proficiency certificate from university indicating that their mode of education is English.
Following degree program students are not eligible:

Students enroll in online and part-time degrees

Master of Liberal Arts

Doctor of Science of Law (JSD)

Students currently enrolled in the Stanford PhD program adding an MA or MS degree in their current discipline.

Unlike the Stanford graduate degree program, Knight-Hennessy Scholars deadline is 09 October 2024 for all applicants, and student has to apply for it too through online portal.
