How to Apply
Apply for this scholarship alongside your application for admission to a QUT PhD program.
The first step is to email Professor Helen Wallace with your CV, detailing your academic and research background, your motivation for the project, and interest in the scholarship.
If supported, you will submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) and nominate Professor Wallace as your proposed supervisor.
Apply for this scholarship at the same time you apply for admission to a QUT Doctor of Philosophy.
Eligibility:
All the recipients must be over 18 years of age
They must hold nationality or permanent residency of participating countries of scholarship program
The recipients must not be receiving financial aid, scholarship benefit from any other Australian Government initiative.
For admission in Postgraduate courses under ELP scheme at Australian Universities, Fresh Graduates are eligible to apply
For admissions in research course at post doctoral level, MS or PhD in Australian Universities under ELP scheme, Fresh Graduates can apply.
Eligibility
Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.
Be a full-time student starting in Trimester 1, 2025.
Accept your offer to study at Griffith and make payment within 14 days of receiving your Letter of Offer. The acceptance date for this award will be outlined in your Letter of Offer.
Be studying an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program. See the Terms and Conditions below for excluded programs and cohorts.
Eligibility and selection criteria:
Be enrolled in their final clinical placement (ELA5 – NURS 3043) of the undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing.
Be able to demonstrate financial hardship and/or anticipated financial disadvantage because of undertaking the placement.
Have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.5 or above.
Not be in current receipt of a student scholarship or grant
Benefits
The eligible candidates will receive the scholarship in the following forms:
An accommodation allowance is provided to all Forest Scholars which is approximately about $21,447 per annum,
Research expenses like attending conferences, publications, overseas tours and other travel cost will be covered by another stipend up to $12,000 given to scholars,
Immediate dependents (spouse, child etc.) will also be facilitated by airfare ticket (economy class) and two-bedroom apartment.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must have completed an Australian university recognised master's by research or bachelor honours degree with first class or second class / division 1 honours, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate research studies.
Applicants must also meet the English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications set by the participating organisations. Each university may have slightly varied English proficiency requirements for PhD candidates.
The academic supervisors may also have their specific requirements.
