The HUST University is accepting applications for International Graduate programs for the 2025 academic year. Students can apply for the Masters, and PhD Degree programs under the Chinese Scholarship Council to study free of cost at Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
Master’s Program Applicants:
Must hold a Bachelor’s degree.
Must be under 35 years old.
Doctoral Program Applicants:
Must hold a Master’s degree.
Must be under 40 years old.
Degree Equivalence:
All degrees must be equivalent to Chinese degrees.
English Language Proficiency: TOEFL 80, IELTS 6.0 GRE General 310 or above.
Other certificates of the same level are also acceptable


Freshman Scholarship for International Students Admission
Eligibility
Applicants must not be a Chinese citizen and hold a valid foreign passport, good character, friendly attitude to China, and have no criminal record.
Students applying for the scholarship with the purpose of Bachelor’s degree must hold HSK Level5 or above and have good academic performance in high school.
Students applying for the scholarship with the purpose of graduate studies in a program taught in Chinese must hold HSK Level 5 or above and have good academic performance in university, with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
Students applying for the scholarship with the purpose of graduate studies in a program taught in English shall hold IELTS certificate with score 6 or above, or TOFEL 80 or above, or the certificate of previous degree program which is taught in English, and have good performance in university, with a GPA of 3.0 or above.




The Scholarship is open to international students to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degree programs. International students from all over the world can apply for the NPU President Scholarship 2025, which is available in all academic programs at NPU University. The NPU President scholarship is divided into three levels: First level, Second level, and Third level.
Required Documents (For Bachelors Degree)
A copy of the personal information page of your valid passport.
A copy of the high school diploma (or graduation certificate) and all transcripts.
Self-introduction (template).
Chinese or English language certificate.
Non-criminal record (valid for five months).
Eligibility Criteria
Chinese Citizens can not apply.
Applicants should have Good Physical and mental health.
Applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens with valid passports.
Participants applying for an undergraduate program must hold a high school diploma and be under the age of 25 before September 1st, 2025.


The full scholarship offers tuition waivers, application fee waivers, monthly stipends, basic housing, health insurance, and covers some of the costs associated with the partial scholarship. Doctorate and master's degree candidates are major sponsors of the full scholarship.
Monthly stipend:
UCAS provides monthly stipend of RMB 2,500 for Doctoral students and RMB 2,000 for Master students. In addition, host supervisor and UCAS faculty/CAS institute (hereinafter referred to as faculty/institute) provide research assistantship for awardees considering their academic performances. The total amounts of monthly stipend will be no less than RMB 3500 for Doctoral students and RMB 3000 for Master students.
Accommodation:
UCAS provides basic accommodation to awardees from faculties/institutes located in Beijing. As for awardees from CAS institutes located outside Beijing, they would be provided with basic accommodation when attending the concentrated study at UCAS, while their host institutes would help to provide accommodation or solve accommodation-related problems when awardees are with them, and the awardees shall pay for relevant expenses as requested by the institutes.
