Who Can Apply?

- Apply to one of UQ's qualified undergraduate or postgraduate programs.
- Get your UQ Student ID number and an official offer.
- Fill out the Science International Scholarship online application form.
- Submit a personal statement outlining how you can effect change and contribute to the field of science.

¹As part of your application, you may submit a scanned copy of your transcript for the highest college or university degree you have earned. Upon acceptance into the Program, you are required to submit official transcripts, which are sent directly from your former college or university to WQU via postal mail or email. Official transcripts that are not in English will need to be evaluated by a member of NACES and submitted to the University for review. Please refer to the policy in the University Catalog.
²Successful completion of one English proficiency test from the below is required of applicants whose native language is not English. The only exception is for applicants who have earned a degree at an institution where the language of instruction is English.


How to Apply
Apply for this scholarship alongside your application for admission to a QUT PhD program.
The first step is to email Professor Helen Wallace with your CV, detailing your academic and research background, your motivation for the project, and interest in the scholarship.
If supported, you will submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) and nominate Professor Wallace as your proposed supervisor.
Apply for this scholarship at the same time you apply for admission to a QUT Doctor of Philosophy.
