Program information
UBC’s BEd degree is globally recognized, and open to international students. The Elementary and Middle Years option prepares pre-service educators for the varied contexts in elementary and middle schools with a special emphasis on self-regulated learning for teaching students aged 11 to 14 years.
Teacher candidates who successfully complete the requirements for the BEd Elementary and Middle Years program are recommended to the BC Teacher Regulation Branch for a professional teaching certificate. UBC’s BEd degree is globally recognized, and the program is open to international students.
UBC’s Okanagan campus is a state-of-the-art centre for research and learning. Life on the Okanagan campus is shaped by its vibrant host city, Kelowna, which is known for its growing tech industry and outstanding outdoor recreation opportunities.
