Acceptable Course or Subjects:
The awards are available for the undergraduate (post-secondary) education in one of any faculty (Arts, Business and Economics, Education, Kinesiology, and Science).
Admissible Criteria:
Students must have at least an 85% final Grade 12 award average, and
Submitted a complete application for admission, including payment by March 1, and
Enroll in a minimum of 18 credit hours for the Fall/Winter, and
Applicants have not received a UW Entrance award valued at more than $5,000.

Admission Requirements:
If students have been out of school for more than six months, a complete Educational History/Gap will be required: Educational History/Gap form. All applicants must meet the entry requirements before applying for study at UWinnipeg.
Language Requirement:
If students are not nationals of a majority English-speaking country, they must demonstrate that they have a good knowledge of English.

Eligibility
Be new to UBC, entering directly from secondary school.
Be an international student who will be studying at UBC on a Canadian study permit (student visa). (Changes to your citizenship status will affect your IMES eligibility.)
Demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and intellectual promise, as well as impressive extracurricular and community involvement.
Not be nominated for a need-and-merit-based International Scholars award.
Minh Ly Scholarship for International Students
One or more scholarships are awarded to academically outstanding international graduate students in the Department of Mechanical Engineering with preference for students with demonstrated financial need.
Normally, the minimum requirement for consideration is an A- average and any additional criteria that has been established by the donor. Awards are assigned based on nominations from eligible academic units. Unless otherwise noted in the award description, you must be a full-time graduate student.
Minh Ly Scholarship for International Students
One or more scholarships are awarded to academically outstanding international graduate students in the Department of Mechanical Engineering with preference for students with demonstrated financial need. Further preference is for students whose thesis/research is focused in Computer Aided Design

Minh Ly Scholarship for International Students
One or more scholarships are awarded to academically outstanding international graduate students in the Department of Mechanical Engineering with preference for students with demonstrated financial need. Further preference is for students whose thesis/research is focused in Computer Aided Design.
Approval of the recipients will be made by the Faculty of Graduate Studies Graduate Awards Committee upon the recommendation of the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
