The main purpose of the Scholarship is to assist a graduate student of either the University of Canterbury or Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland to study Art History, English Literature, Music or Fine Arts overseas in an environment that encourages the completion of a course or work in progress, or the undertaking of further training in a recognised institution.
Anne Reid Memorial Scholarship
A Scholarship of up to $30,000 to assist graduates with further postgraduate study overseas in the fields of Art History, English Literature, Music or Fine Arts.

PhD or other approved Doctorate or masters Level study in Art History, English Literature, Music, or Fine Arts at a recognised overseas institution.

To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be new international students intending to start their studies in the upcoming semester, either full-time or part-time, in a Bachelor of Teaching (ECE or Primary) or Graduate Diploma of Teaching program at Te Rito Maioha
Benefits
This scholarship covers tuition fees for the full duration of the program, helping to support aspiring teachers in both early childhood and primary education.
The university is providing scholarships to invite international applicants to study there and is accepting application for second semester students also. Second semesters students will start receiving funding once they start their studies at the University of Otago. For living expenses, Dunedin is rather a cheaper place to live.
