The Academic Calendar
The academic year for undergraduate and most of the graduate courses generally starts in October and runs till June. The whole year is divided into two semesters of around 14 weeks each. According to a set National standards total, a class time per week is 24 to 28 hours.
The Autumn Semester begins in October and usually ends in mid-February, after the winter exams.
The Spring Semester starts in mid-February or at the beginning of March. It generally ends in July, but the schedule varies from university to university and also depends upon the course selected.
Some universities accept online applications while few of them ask for personal appearance. Certain universities also conduct online or in –person interview with the candidate
Student evaluation are done indifferent ways like written examinations, oral examinations, evaluation of the student's activity during the whole semester, both via practical disciplines, and individual or collective essays and projects submissions.

The University will process your application and will send it to the Ministry of National Education for further evaluation. It may take about a month to get a response from the Ministry of National Education. Upon receiving the response the Romanian Universities will release the results. If the admission is accepted, the university will send a letter of acceptance and guide the student about further processing.
Romania Study Visa
Based on the Acceptance Letter and payments of the required charges the applicant will then apply for a study visa at the Romanian Embassy in their country or the closest Romanian diplomatic mission. Sometimes the university itself takes the responsibility of visa formalities,
When the study visa is approved and issued to the enrolled student, he/she then fly to Romania and carries out further enrollment procedures. The student has to personally appear at the Enrollment at the Office for International Relations and Foreign Students for registration.
