2025 HEC degree attestation: Updated fee and process

The Pakistani Higher Education Commission (HEC) has made an online mechanism available to applicants who want to have their degrees, diplomas, and other pertinent papers attested.

The HEC states that if Pakistani nationals want to seek for jobs or study abroad, they must have their educational records attested.

Candidates must submit their applications using the official website at https://eservices.hec.gov.pk, which provides access to the online attestation system.

Two modes of attestation

The HEC provides degree attestation in two main ways:

Walk-in mode: Only urgent applications are eligible for this service. In this approach, applicants have the option of submitting their documents in person or designating a representative to do so. Following the preliminary review, candidates will receive an email or SMS asking them to make an appointment for the walk-in submission.

Authorized courier service mode: Both domestic and international applicants may use this mode for routine applications. Candidates may submit their documents via approved courier services, who will handle the attestation procedure and document return.

Fee structure

The following fee schedule has been established by the HEC for the attestation of academic degrees:

Normal attestation fee: The typical attestation charge is Rs. 1,000 for original degrees and Rs. 700 for each photocopy. Other documents are subject to the same cost.

Urgent attestation fee: In addition to the standard attestation fees, an urgent attestation fee of Rs 3,000 per application has been established for those who need their applications processed immediately. In addition to the Rs3, 000 urgent service cost, applicants will have to pay Rs1, 000 for each original document and Rs700 for each photocopy.

Candidates must use the 1-link payment method to pay the attestation fees and finish the online application procedure. Before sending their documents for attestation, individuals need to confirm the payment on their profile.
