DESY Research
This summer traineeship program affords students the opportunity to conduct independent research closely cooperating with scientists working on the research project in their field. Of course, the research project forms the core of the program. A series of lectures will also be given in English concerning basic and applied scientific topics directly associated with DESY research.
Accelerators
Participants may also visit the accelerators and experiments as part of the DESY Summer Student Program. In addition, the students are expected to spend 39 hours a week on the work and lectures that will include project work. There will be a monthly stipend of about 1200 Euros; in addition, reimbursement for travel is also possible. A DESY hostel accommodation will be offered to all participants for the entire period of the program at reduced rates.
