Fellowship Streams

This fellowship has two groups.

  • Postdoctoral Researchers: These are people who got their PhDs in the last four years.
  • Experienced Researchers: This group includes those who earned their PhDs in the last 12 years and have a solid history of doing their own research.

Who is Eligible?

To apply, make sure you:

  • Are from a developing or transitional country (China and India are not included in this fellowship).
  • Hold a completed PhD or doctoral degree.
  • Have a research project that will benefit your home region's sustainable development. This could be about climate change, resource management, health, education, or governance.
  • Have a host institution and an academic partner in Germany.
