5 -   Tohoku University

Tohoku University is a national university located in Sendai, Miyagi in the Tōhoku Region of Japan. It was established in 1907 making it one of the oldest universities of Japan. It was ranked 76^th best institute of the world to study in 2018 for international students by QS Ranking. It is ranked 5^th best higher educational institute of its country.

It has four campuses in the same city, Sendai, all for different specific programs. Tohoku University has 10 faculties and 15 graduate schools. Osaka University is also National university located in the city of Osaka. If National word confuses you, it means public or government university in Japan. According to Wikipedia it is world’s 6^th oldest university as it was established in 1724. Over the centuries, it has also educated some of the history making scholars including founder of Sony and a Nobel Laureate in Physics.

Tokyo Institute of Technology is yet another one of the amazing universities Japan has to offer. It is ranked 3^rd best higher educational institute of its country. QS ranked it 56^th best university to study in 2018. It was established in 1881 in the Greater Tokyo Area. 1 -   The University of Tokyo

Ranked world’s 28^th best educational institute, University of Tokyo is the highest star of Japan. It is ranked the best higher educational institute of its country. It has always been considered the most prestigious institute of its country. It is a public research university founded in 1877 and located in the Tokyo.

It has currently around 30,000 students enrolled including 2,100 from foreign countries. It comprises 10 faculties and also has five campuses are in Hongō.
