See Latest Ranks of Pakistan’s Top Universities in THE World Ranking 2017

 
Every year a list of universities is published which are considered winners of that year by renowned Educational Media groups. They publish what they call RANK of those particular universities. Their ranking is done by keeping some specific factors in mind that comprise all their academic abilities. What university they rank 1st is considered top best university of the world for that year. Not everyone can just publish their results be accepted, there are just two biggest organizations that undertake this momentous assignment.
 
One of those organizations is Times Higher Education whose results I am publishing here today. Both these organizations conclusions may vary, however, none dare challenge other. Here is this article today; I am sharing with you the best ranked universities of Pakistan which are considered best in their country but not so much on a global level. There is a reason Pakistan was ranked 50th higher education system in a total of 50 countries. If top universities of a country have good ranking, it also means their higher education system is very good that attracts international students.
 
If you are a Pakistani then you must have guessed Pakistani universities ranks by the number of international students you see in your country. Total 5 universities of Pakistan were ranked this year in times Higher Education world ranking. Here I have shared those universities, their information and their ranks.
 
 

 
5 -   Bahauddin Zakariya University
 
World Rank: 801+
 
Bahauddin Zakariya University is a public university founded in 1975 and one of the best in Pakistan. It has a campus that comprises an area of over 5 square kilometers with over sixty departments in it. It is also one of Pakistan’s largest universities. Its main campus is located in the city of Multan, Punjab. It has three sub-campuses also located in Pakistan, in the cities of Layyah, Sahiwal and Vehari. One other campus of BZU was established in Lahore which after 3 years was closed that has an interesting back story. This year Bahauddin Zakariya University was ranked for the first time in world ranking and it secured 801+ position. There are currently over 26,000 students enrolled of which about 50% are female students.

4 -   University of Agriculture
 
World Rank: 801+
 
University of Agriculture is also one of the top and largest universities of Pakistan. It is located in the city Faisal Abad, Punjab. This university was first established in 1906 and upgraded in 1961. It has a huge campus of 7.2 square kilometers with a student population of over 16,000. Contrast to impression by its name, University of Agriculture is not just limited to agricultural studies. It also offers diverse range of many other programs and courses. Whole university is divided in major faculties comprising Agriculture, Home Economics, Animal Husbandry, Social Sciences, Food Nutrition, Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Veterinary Science and Sciences. These faculties are further divided into various departments. This university, along with Bahauddin Zakariya University, was ranked among 800s position.

3 -   Quaid-e-Azam University
 
World Rank: 601-800th
 
Located in the capital city of Pakistan, Islamabad, Quaid-e-Azam University is a public educational institute and was established in 1967 and today it stands among the most prestigious institutes of Pakistan. There are over 13,000 students currently enrolled in this institute. This university has more female students than males with a ratio of over 52%. This university is divided into four faculties which further have their own relevant departments. This educational institute is countrywide recognized for its research, technological progression, and intellectual communication with international institutes, including the United Nations, University of Tokyo and the ICTP. Qauid-e-Azam University was ranked 6th in the natural science category in 2010.

2 -   National University of Sciences and Technology
 
World Rank: 601-800th
 
Often considered the best university Pakistan Can offer is National University of Sciences and Technology though it was established in just 1991 by merging military and civil educational resources. It is mostly referred to as NUST. Their teachers and teaching method are very much admired and respected as they use new and creative ways to deliver lecture. In addition many of its staff members have working or studying ties to universities like Harvard, Oxford, and MIT etc. There are over 9,000 students registered in this university and it has a campus of about 2.9 square kilometers.

1 -   COMSATS Institute of Information Technology
 
World Rank: 601-800th
 
Also among Pakistan’s top 10 universities, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology is also ranking between 600-800 best universities of the world by Times Higher Education world university ranking. Its main campus is in Islamabad with more seven campuses some located in the cities of Abbottabad, Attock, Vehari, Lahore, Wah, Sahiwal and Virtual. It is also among top three educational institutes in the field of Information Technology.
 
It was established in 1998. There are over 35,971 students as of spring 2016 registered in all campuses of COMSATS. It has over 18 academic departments. 6 faculties and 10 research centers. It has a ratio of 23% :: 77%, female :: male ratio. In QS world ranking, it is ranked between 500 – 550 best universities of the world.
